| Title: Chasing Death (on AO3) or Chasing Death (on FF.net) Author: shade_shifterRating: R Crossover: Leverage Pairing: Methos/Elliot Spencer Why this must be read: The first reason this is a must read is the perspective. The reader gets to see the outsider point of view of both Methos and Elliot Spencer as they discover bits and pieces of each other. The second reason is that it's a believable relationship between two dangerous individuals each of whom have a whole lot of secrets and yet their relationship is also fun and happy, as they chase each other, protect each other, and capture and release each other. | When I envision a new vid, I always have an idea of where it will go and what it will look like, but the finished project rarely meets my expectations. These two vids, very different in tone, came out just as I wanted them to. While they aren’t the ones with the most downloads or YouTube hits, I am very, very fond of them. Title: All the Ladies of the World Pairing: Duncan/womankind song artist Flight of the Conchords vidder valoiseWhy I love this vid When you start tallying up the women that Duncan has loved, the total is impressively long and diverse. All the ladies of the world, indeed. download and streaming linksTitle: Ne me quitte pas (don't leave me) Pairing: Duncan/Tessa song artist Nina Simone vidder valoiseWhy I love this vid Every relationship between an immortal and a mortal is tinged with darkness; one will live unchangingly young while the other grows old and dies or the immortal may be killed suddenly and violently. The storyline between Duncan and Amanda twisted that assumption on it’s head and I wanted to try and capture the emotion of their relationship in a vid. download and streaming links | |

| Title: An Equal, or Something LikeAuthor: marblegloveRating: PG Crossover: Sherlock (BBC) Pairing: Methos/Mycroft Original Prompt: Mycroft thinks he's met his match. He has no idea how far out of his depth he truly is. Why this must be read: Writing this convinced me that Methos and Mycroft were a great pairing. | |

| Title: Blackbirds Artist: Erin McKeown Vidder: killabeezPairings: Amanda/Duncan, Duncan/Methos, hints of Amanda/Duncan/Methos Download AVI file hereWhy I chose this one: This is my favorite Highlander vid I've ever made. Simple as that! And I adore this song. | |

| Title: One DayAuthor: ithildynPairing & Rating: Methos, Jack Sparrow/OFC. Major character death (on the PotC side), rated for general audiences. Crossover: Pirates of the Caribbean Why this must be read: This is an emotional favourite of mine, and it went from image in my mind's eye to paper in one fell swoop. It was supposed to be a one off, but ended up being the beginning of a series. But this first story, I think, is perfect all on its own, and deals with how young Immortals let go of their mortal lives. Title: He's a PirateAuthor: ithildynPairing & Rating: Methos, Duncan MacLeod, OFC, rated for general audiences. Why this must be read: Six months later, I wrote this companion piece, set 200 years later. Duncan's winery is the setting for a chance reunion, 200 years later. For once, the mystery woman is from Methos' past, and not Duncan's. - Tags:author: ithildyn, crossover, duncan, futurefic, historical fic, m/f, methos, no sex, ofc, original characters, self-recs

| Title: Reunion and the sequel, ConfessionsAuthor: Sinanju Characters: Amanda (Highlander), Daisy (Dead Like Me) Pairing & Rating: Amanda/Daisy Crossover: Highlander, Dead Like Me Warnings: Major Character Death (This is a Dead Like Me crossover, what did you expect?) Why this must be read: There simply isn't enough Dead Like Me fic, especially crossover fic. Daisy and Amanda are two peas in a pod. They're young, they're beautiful, they're immortal. They're always looking for the next big score. By the nature of who they are and what they do, they had to run into one another eventually. These stories are available on AO3 at the link above. | |

| Title: The Dread Pyrate MethosAuthor: Taz Pairing and Rating: Duncan/Methos Why this must be read: Again, it’s hard to capture an authentic sense of Methos’s great age. This started as an off-hand comment in a mailing list thread. I’m sure it didn’t turn out in the way people were expecting it to, but I had great fun researching and writing it. Frankly, I love it. It owes much to Daniel Defoe, whom, by the way, I also love. ( A tasteCollapse ) | |

| Title: I Remember You Not FondlyAuthor: ithildynPairing & Rating: Methos/OFC/LaCroix, R for violence and non-con. Crossover: Forever Knight, set in the Star Trek future, but no Star Trek characters. Why this must be read: I've been sticking to short stories till now, but this is one of the long ones. For years, I was fascinated with the idea of the Mirror Universe in Star Trek and what the alternates of our Immies would be like, and in 2007, I finally wrote it. This is a story that was very difficult to write, it totally pushed me out of my comfort zone when it came to the subject matter. In the end, I was very proud of the finished product, even if MirrorMethos totally freaked me out. It was also the first time I'd written Kronos - albeit the Mirror Universe version - but I think it works. It's one of those stories I reread and can't quite believe I wrote it. - Tags:au, author: ithildyn, crossover, duncan, futurefic, horsemen, injured immies, kronos, m/f, methos, original characters, self-recs

| Title: The Shell GameAuthor: Taz Pairing and Rating: Methos/Odysseus Why this must be read: It’s hard to capture an authentic sense of Methos’s great age but the film ‘Troy’ had just come out and of all the historical soul-mates Methos might have encountered, Odysseus is my favorite.
